Millennials anvender teknologi på en måde, som de færreste virksomheder er indrettet til, og de forventer, at de nyeste teknologier er til rådighed. Løsningen på denne potentielle online kulturkløft er ikke at stramme reglerne og spærre for eksempelvis sociale netværk sites, men derimod at åbne sluserne for alle de alternativer, som de unge er vant til at bruge. […] Da Millennials også i udstrakt grad er teamplayers, kan de være med til at støtte teamtankegangen og dermed forstærke virksomhedens online kultur. Det er eksempelvis meget naturligt for den kommende generation af medarbejdere at have nogle omkring sig, som de kan modtage sparring, coaching eller feedback fra, ligesom de har et veludviklet instinkt for at samarbejde på kryds og tværs. Det er noget, som mange virksomheder har forsøgt at lære deres ansatte i årevis – ikke mindst fordi samarbejde er afgørende for succes på det globale marked.

The best advice I can give about online collaboration, is that you cannot start to collaborate online if you do not know the people you are collaborating with. Therefore what must precede the launch of any tool is to actually bring the group together for a conference call, video conference or face-to-face meeting to figure out the best way of working together. This is important in establishing the trust need to collaborate effectively, regardless the solution.
